Periodic Resilience Index Western Negev Sep 2024

October 21, 2024
This research, initiated due to the October 7, 2023 crisis, was a joint effort by New Land Now, Indicate, and resilience experts from Tel Aviv University and Tel Hai College. The research used both quantitative and qualitative methods to assess resilience in the Western Negev population. Data was collected from 503 respondents via a structured questionnaire (August 28 - September 8, 2024) and from social media analysis (July-September 2024). The study examined 12 variables, including national and community resilience, individual resilience, hope, stress, PTSD symptoms, and social cohesion, across different community types: cities, kibbutzim, moshavim, and Bedouin communities.
Periodic Resilience Index Western Negev – May 2024

June 1, 2024
The resilience index at the heart of the report is calculated based on a weighting of six key discourse topics - employment, housing, education, sense of security, trust, and mental health. Each of the three sub-regions received a unique resilience score, based on an analysis of the relative share of each discourse topic out of the six, in that region, alongside an analysis of the intensity of sentiment associated with each topic.
